Alliance experts, Donna Callaghan and Karen Brownrigg run regular  Outdoor Learning Network meetings at Percy Main Primary especially for all Alliance staff interested in finding out more. Next session tbc soon!

15th June 2016 4:00pm held at Percy Main Primary School   was a great success with 22 teachers attending.

So what did they do?

We showed them some simple natural resources that could be used to support Maths learning outdoors and then undertook a forest school session. We explained that today our forest garden was the rainforest and that we might come across some strange creatures - Blobsters. We explained that the creature was feeling lonely and needed some friends. Using clay and natural materials provided by our forest garden, they then created their own Blobster. They then made dens for it to live in. We then reflected on the activity whilst enjoying a fruity drink around the fire.
